BUILD RESILIENCE

What we need is here

In the last several years, Americans learned anew how the global supply chain and volatile geopolitics are a weak foundation for business. A resilient economy is built on people working to meet their needs within the limits of their place. Watershed Row will house diverse small businesses making and selling products that care for life in the Klamath Basin.

LOCAL FOOD

Watershed Row will bring together food producers and makers. The anchor tenant will be a restaurant group dedicated to strengthening the local food system.

SMALL BUSINESS

The building will help grow a local economy that is equitable and resilient by providing:

  • Micro retail and popup opportunities for mission-aligned businesses

  • Commissary kitchen rental for small producers and entrepreneurs

  • Nonprofit office space and event hosting

EQUITY

Watershed Row is bringing big possibilities to small places. It’s stating that innovative green building is not just for wealthy cities; everyone deserves vibrant built environments and strong local economies.

At Watershed Row, tenant businesses will be supported in providing quality working conditions and equitable benefits to their employees. Facilities and gathering spaces will be free and open to the public. Special events and learning opportunities will also be offered free of charge or on a sliding scale.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Watershed Row will be prepared for our community’s worst day. Per LBC standards, the building can operate independent of the grid, providing essential power, drinking water and air filtration for a week or more (indefinitely when the sun is shining). Emergency food, medical supplies and landline communication will be available onsite. In coordination with the Oregon Department of Emergency Management, Watershed Row will have plans in place and can help promote community awareness and preparedness.
