Connection is our strength
Watershed Row stands to be the heart of the community in many respects as a welcoming “third place” for people to socialize and connect. Connection, in turn, strengthens relationships, breaks down stereotypes and sparks creativity and civic engagement. The building itself, full of plants, natural light and beautiful, healthy materials will be a therapeutic environment.
LOCAL FOOD
Food brings people together. Vendors and special events will connect people to healthy, local food, benefiting farmers and consumers.
ART
The building (inside and out) will be a showcase for visual and performing arts, with events, permanent artworks, rotating galleries and an artist in residence program. Creative groups can reserve seating in the Hall for regular meetings and space to display their work. Classes in mending, basket weaving, birdhouse building, etc. will celebrate resourceful living and circular economy.
EVENTS
A calendar of events and activities based on community interest and needs will ensure another layer of vitality and relevance.
